Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter vs Xrely Autocomplete & Searchfor Shopify (2026)
Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter and Xrely Autocomplete & Search both aim to improve product discovery on Shopify stores using intelligent search. However, they differ significantly in their established reputation and target audience. Prefixbox, with a 5/5 rating based on 41 reviews, is geared towards Shopify Plus merchants and emphasizes deep customization through Shopify's Theme Editor. It offers advanced features like dynamic product filters, merchandising controls to override search results, and robust analytics. Xrely, on the other hand, has no reviews and targets a broader audience with its AI-driven search and focus on real-time search prediction based on customer typing patterns. Prefixbox positions itself as a comprehensive solution for large, established stores looking for advanced control and deep integration with the Shopify platform. Its focus is on enhancing search and collection pages through predictive search, dynamic filters, and the ability to manually curate search results. Xrely appears to be a newer, more basic solution that focuses on AI-driven personalization of search results and provides some key search metrics. It aims to improve consumer engagement and product discovery through AI-driven algorithms that suggest the most relevant products, based on consumer behavior. However, the lack of reviews makes it difficult to gauge its actual performance.

Our Verdict
For Shopify Plus merchants seeking deep customization, granular control over search results, and detailed analytics, Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter is the clear choice. Its integration with the Shopify Theme Editor and advanced merchandising features provide a powerful toolset for optimizing the customer journey. However, its complexity might be overwhelming for smaller merchants. Xrely Autocomplete & Search, while promising AI-driven personalization, lacks social proof (no ratings or reviews). It *might* be suitable for smaller merchants who are comfortable being early adopters and are looking for a potentially simpler and less expensive solution. However, the risk is higher due to the absence of any user feedback, so Prefixbox is a safer bet. Due to the zero rating, it is impossible to recommend Xrely, and Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter wins by default.
