Product Samples by Luke vs Q:Request A Quote & Hide Pricefor Shopify (2026)
Product Samples by Luke and Q:Request A Quote & Hide Price are both Shopify apps related to pricing strategies, but they serve fundamentally different purposes and target distinct merchant profiles. Product Samples by Luke focuses on enabling customers to try product samples before committing to a full purchase, aiming to boost sales, reduce returns, and increase customer satisfaction. It's a straightforward solution for merchants selling products where experiencing a sample can significantly influence the purchase decision. Q:Request A Quote & Hide Price, on the other hand, is tailored for B2B and DTC businesses that require more flexible pricing options and negotiation capabilities. Its core function is to allow customers to request quotes for products, often involving custom pricing, volume discounts, or complex order configurations. The app also offers the ability to hide prices, which is particularly useful for businesses selling to other businesses where pricing is often determined on a case-by-case basis. It aims to streamline the quote request process, track negotiations, and ultimately convert quotes into orders.

Our Verdict
If you're a DTC merchant selling products where providing samples can significantly increase conversion rates and customer satisfaction (e.g., cosmetics, fragrances, specialty foods), Product Samples by Luke is the better choice. Its simplicity and focus on sample offerings make it an ideal solution for improving the customer experience and reducing returns.
However, if your business operates in a B2B environment or requires flexible pricing options, custom quotes, and negotiation capabilities, Q:Request A Quote & Hide Price is the superior option. Its features for hiding prices, generating quotes, and integrating with CRM systems are essential for managing complex pricing structures and customer relationships. The higher review count suggests broader adoption and a more established track record, although the slightly lower rating should be considered in light of the much larger sample size.
