RateUp vs UserLoop Surveys & Feedbackfor Shopify (2026)
RateUp and UserLoop Surveys & Feedback both aim to help Shopify merchants gather customer feedback and improve customer experience. RateUp focuses primarily on automated WhatsApp surveys triggered by specific events, offering unlimited surveys and responses, along with AI-powered summarization of reviews. Its strength lies in leveraging WhatsApp for real-time feedback and automating the survey process based on transactional events. This makes it a potential fit for merchants who heavily rely on WhatsApp for customer communication and need to automate feedback collection after purchases or other events. However, it lacks user reviews and has a 0/5 rating which raises concerns about its reliability and features. UserLoop Surveys & Feedback presents itself as a more comprehensive platform that integrates surveys, quizzes, and video testimonials. It emphasizes AI-powered analytics, video responses for social proof, and smart product quizzes to boost conversions. UserLoop also supports multiple languages. This makes it well-suited for merchants looking for a broader range of feedback collection methods, AI-driven insights, and features that enhance the shopping experience, particularly those targeting international audiences and valuing social proof. The app benefits from a perfect 5/5 rating with 23 reviews, indicating positive user experience.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants heavily invested in WhatsApp communication and prioritizing automated feedback collection based on events like orders or payments, RateUp might be worth exploring, *provided* they are willing to take a risk on an app with no reviews. However, given the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating, proceeding with caution is advised.
UserLoop Surveys & Feedback appears to be the safer and more feature-rich choice for most merchants. Its positive rating, multiple reviews, comprehensive feature set (including quizzes and video testimonials), and AI capabilities make it a more compelling option, especially for businesses seeking a holistic feedback solution and those targeting a broader audience, including international customers. UserLoop's feature set positions it well for merchants serious about turning customer feedback into a significant growth driver.

Which app is better for collecting video testimonials?
UserLoop is the clear winner here as it specifically highlights video responses from customers for social proof.
Which app offers more advanced analytics?
UserLoop's AI-powered analytics, which identify patterns and trends automatically, suggest more advanced analytical capabilities compared to RateUp's focus primarily on NPS and question-wise analytics.
Which app is more suitable for multilingual stores?
UserLoop offers multi-language support with automatic translation to 100+ languages, making it significantly better for multilingual stores than RateUp, which does not specify any language support.
Is RateUp a risky choice given the lack of ratings and reviews?
