Whatsapp Marketing & Support vs X‑Elephant: AI Sales Chatbotfor Shopify (2026)
Whatsapp Marketing & Support (BusinessOnBot) and X‑Elephant: AI Sales Chatbot are both Shopify apps in the 'Chat' category aiming to enhance customer engagement and sales through AI-powered conversations. However, they cater to different segments of the market with vastly different user validation. Whatsapp Marketing & Support positions itself as a comprehensive solution for D2C brands, encompassing WhatsApp, Instagram, and email channels, with a focus on acquiring new users and reducing customer acquisition cost (CAC). It highlights multi-agent support, automated campaigns, cart recovery, and order updates. In contrast, X‑Elephant: AI Sales Chatbot, while also providing an AI sales chatbot, does not give a large scope of features or functionalities. The most important difference is that it lacks the breadth of platform integration, focusing more narrowly on AI-driven sales conversations. Given the limited information available for X-Elephant, it's difficult to determine its specific target audience or strengths. The difference in rating and number of reviews also signifies a large discrepancy in merchant adoption and satisfaction. Whatsapp Marketing & Support appears to be a more established and well-received solution with a broader feature set, but it may also come with added complexity or a higher price point.

Our Verdict
For D2C brands seeking a comprehensive solution to manage customer communication across multiple channels, automate marketing and support workflows, and actively reduce CAC, Whatsapp Marketing & Support is the clear choice. Its higher rating and significantly larger user base suggest greater reliability and satisfaction. However, it may be a more complex tool that requires more investment in set up and optimization. It is also positioned towards established businesses.
If you are a smaller merchant, with very simple AI chatbot needs and very basic integration requirements, X‑Elephant: AI Sales Chatbot *could* be a more focused starting point, but the lack of information and very limited reviews make it a riskier choice. You are going to want to do a trial of both platforms to make sure that the AI is sufficient for your needs.
