BFCM in 25 daysBlack Friday is in 25 days. Is your Shopify store ready?
Free checklist & auditGet the free BFCM checklist & auditAs merchants look ahead to 2026, evaluating CRM solutions for their Shopify stores remains crucial. While EngageBay CRM aims to be an all-in-one platform, some users may find its pricing structure unsuitable for their budget, discover that specific marketing automation features are lacking in depth, or feel overwhelmed by the breadth of functionality if they only require specific CRM components. As well, while the app is rated highly, there is only a single review, so merchants may want to evaluate their options. Finding a more tailored solution can improve efficiency and ROI. This guide provides alternatives that address specific pain points a Shopify merchant might encounter with EngageBay.
One platform for all your Marketing, Sales, and Support teams
Hulk Mobile App Builder doesn't directly replace EngageBay's CRM functionality, it focuses on creating a mobile app. If you're considering leaving EngageBay, building a mobile app can be a way to drive increased engagement and conversions, although it doesn't offer CRM features.
Best for merchants prioritizing a dedicated mobile app experience over a CRM solution.
Appokart is an easy-to-use no-code mobile app builder for eCommerce store with drag-n-drop feature.
Similar to Hulk Mobile App Builder, AppOkart is an alternative for mobile app creation with a drag-and-drop interface. It doesn't offer CRM functionality but enhances customer engagement via a mobile app.
Best for merchants looking to create a mobile app without coding knowledge.
Send custom emails, upload files, add tags and much more, trigger by any shop event!
Notifications by Modd Apps focuses on automating internal and external communications based on specific shop events. Its extensive customization options with HTML and Liquid, coupled with file sending capabilities, can replace some of EngageBay's marketing automation features.
Ideal for stores requiring highly customizable and automated notifications triggered by specific events.
We help you to create SEO prepared FAQ pages for your store and a help center for your customers!
While not a direct CRM replacement, Trusted Help Center & FAQ can improve customer support by providing self-service options. This can reduce the need for direct customer interaction, freeing up resources for other tasks. This can be a partial substitute for the 'Customer Support' feature listed for EngageBay.
Ideal for stores seeking to enhance customer support and reduce support inquiries.
Turn customer feedback into growth with AI-powered surveys
UserLoop Surveys & Feedback offers a more focused approach to collecting customer feedback through surveys, quizzes, and video testimonials. If gathering customer insights is a primary need, this app provides a specialized solution with AI-powered analytics.
Ideal for stores prioritizing customer feedback collection and AI-powered insights.
Ads & Email hyper-personalization app for brands that helps create meaningful 1:1 user experience.
RetainIQ offers hyper-personalization of emails and SMS messages, potentially exceeding EngageBay's personalization capabilities. With features like dynamic tags (loyalty, weather, location, site action) and experiential intelligence, it allows for more targeted customer engagement.
Best for merchants seeking advanced personalization for email and SMS marketing to improve customer retention.
Let your customer bookmark their loved items & reach them using web push marketing.
CP24 Advanced Wishlist helps customers bookmark items and receive notifications for price drops and low stock. While not a CRM, this improves customer engagement and can drive sales for wishlisted items. The web push notification features allow you to re-engage customers who have previously visited your store.
Ideal for stores focusing on wishlist functionality and web push marketing to drive sales.
Express Text syncs subscriber data from store to enable targeted SMS campaigns, with full support!
ExpressText Connect focuses specifically on SMS marketing, syncing subscriber data for targeted campaigns. If your primary need is SMS marketing and customer segmentation, this alternative offers a focused solution.
Best for merchants prioritizing targeted SMS marketing campaigns with easy subscriber data syncing.
Enhance efficiency with branded SMS, voice solutions, and abandoned cart recovery automation.
Branded SMS Pakistan directly addresses the need for SMS communication, a key feature EngageBay provides. If SMS is a primary function, this alternative offers focused SMS features like order notifications, abandoned cart recovery, and promotional messaging. However, this app is localized to Pakistan.
Best for merchants in Pakistan who primarily need SMS marketing and order notifications.
Recover abandoned carts, boost repeat purchases, and grow sales with push notifications & WhatsApp.
PushEngage offers multichannel engagement via web push, app push, and WhatsApp. It focuses on cart recovery, order alerts, back-in-stock notifications, and personalized campaigns. If EngageBay's communication isn't meeting requirements, PushEngage can be a useful alternative.
Best for merchants seeking to re-engage shoppers through web push, app push, and WhatsApp with automated campaigns.
Data migration is crucial. Ensure your contacts, order history, and other relevant data can be smoothly transferred to the new platform. Also, assess the new CRM's integration capabilities with your other Shopify apps.
Yes, you can use separate apps for email marketing, SMS, customer support, and automation. This allows for a more tailored approach but requires careful integration.
Reliable customer support is essential, especially during the transition. Look for apps with responsive support teams and extensive documentation to minimize disruption.
Look for features like dynamic content, segmentation, behavior-based triggers, and A/B testing. A robust personalization engine can significantly improve engagement and conversion rates.
If SMS marketing is your primary need, consider a dedicated SMS marketing app like Branded SMS Pakistan or ExpressText Connect. These apps provide focused features and may offer better value.
