Best Alternatives to ESC Wishlist + Save for Laterfor Shopify (2026)
The ESC Wishlist + Save for Later app, while aiming to enhance customer experience with wishlist functionality, suffers from extremely low ratings which usually signals issues with reliability, customer support, or feature set. Merchants often seek alternatives due to these concerns, particularly around app stability, responsiveness to support requests, and the actual effectiveness of the 'save for later' functionality in driving sales. Furthermore, given the limited number of reviews, the app may lack the robust feature set and customizability that larger, more established wishlist apps offer.
By 2026, expectations around user experience and app integration will be even higher, pushing merchants to demand seamless wishlist experiences that integrate deeply with their store's design and marketing efforts. Alternatives offering advanced analytics, personalized notifications, and robust integrations with other marketing tools will become increasingly attractive. A stable app with great ratings is a must, as is available support for unexpected challenges.

Why is ESC Wishlist + Save for Later rated so poorly?
Based on the limited reviews, it's difficult to pinpoint the exact reasons. However, low ratings often indicate problems with app functionality, customer support responsiveness, or overall reliability. Merchants may have experienced bugs, difficulty integrating the app, or lack of assistance when needed.
What is the most important feature to look for in a wishlist app?
The most important feature depends on your specific needs. However, key considerations include seamless integration with your store's theme, ease of use for customers, sharing functionality, and reporting/analytics to track wishlist usage and conversions.
Are free wishlist apps a good option?
Free wishlist apps may be suitable for smaller stores with basic needs. However, they often lack advanced features, customization options, and dedicated support. Paid apps generally offer more robust functionality and better performance.
How can a wishlist app increase sales?
A wishlist app can increase sales by allowing customers to save items they're interested in, reminding them of those items later, and providing an easy way to purchase them. Sharing features can also drive traffic to your store and encourage purchases.
Should I use a combined loyalty & wishlist app, or separate apps?
A combined app, like Froonze, can streamline the customer experience and simplify management. However, if you need more advanced features for either your wishlist or loyalty program, separate apps may be a better choice.
