Our Verdict
Given the dramatically different ratings and focus, Commslayer appears to be the more reliable choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. The perfect 5-star rating suggests high user satisfaction, while BestChat's 0-star rating raises significant concerns about its functionality and reliability. However, if a merchant *specifically* needs a chatbot-centric solution to handle a high volume of simple inquiries and is willing to take the risk associated with a low-rated app, BestChat might be worth exploring - but only after thoroughly investigating the negative reviews and ensuring it meets their specific requirements. Commslayer is a more well-rounded option that scales as their company grows with unlimited agents and tickets.
For merchants prioritizing a robust helpdesk and efficient agent workflows, Commslayer is the clear winner. Its focus on streamlining communication, providing AI assistance to agents, and integrating order management functionalities makes it a valuable tool for improving overall customer support efficiency. Unless there is a very specific need to automate customer responses with a chatbot, Commslayer is the better option.
